General Description
The M.V. office at the Baruipur started functioning by weekly from November, 2011 as an extension counter of M.V. section, Office of the District Magistrate, South 24 Parganas,Alipore.As directed by the District Magistrate, South 24Parganas, It wasdecided this office would function five days of a week under the control of Sub Divisional Officer,Baruipur from 10-09-2013 with the help of one Additional Regional Transport Officer,one Motor Vehicles Inspector (Technical), one Motor Vehicles Inspector (Non-Technical), two UDC/LDC, two Data Entry Operators and one Group-D (Contingent Menial). Till date this office is functioning for Registration of vehicles, Collecting taxes, Fees and fines, and issuing of Driving License.
Amount collecting as Tax, Fees and Fines is deposited day to day in State Bank of India, Baruipur Branch through GRIPS and amount collecting as lamination fees, Registration card printing fees and Driving License card fees is regularly deposited in the account No 11296861460 in the name of West Bengal Transport project fund in pay in slip.
